Champagne de Castelnau

Champagne De Castelnau has been making exceptional wines for discerning wine lovers since 1916. The brand name was created in honour of General Edouard de Curières De Castelnau, a celebrated war hero from the First World War.
Very much in vogue for much of the 20th century, especially in the 1930's, Champagne De Castelnau appeared on the tables of several royal families as well as the French armed forces throughout the world. In 2003, the Co-opérative Régionale des Vins de Champagne (CRVC) acquired Champagne De Castelnau, which gave them a presentation worthy of the quality of their wines.
Today, from its cellars in the heart of Reims, the House controls 900 hectares in 140 different Crus spread across some of the finest vineyard sites in Champagne, allowing it to make exceptional wines for the Champagne De Castelnau range. Winemaker Richard Dailly has been working at the CRVC for over 20 years and produces award winning, premium quality, rich & well-aged wines.
Launched earlier this year De Castelanu's new packaging reflects a modern evolution for the brand that embodies the style, class and dedication to excellence that winemaker Richard Dailly commits to the production of every bottle.

Champagne Taittinger

Renowned for their dedication and passion for quality, the Taittinger family has been rooted in Champagne since the early 1930's. Headed by Pierre Emmanuel Taittinger, a direct descendent of the founding father Monsieur Pierre Taittinger, Taittinger Champagne remains one of the few grand houses to be owned and actively managed by the family named on the label.
Taittinger is a regular award winner and is internationally recognised for the consistent quality of the wines they make, and the tradition of innovation instilled in the Taittinger philosophy. The signature cuvée, Taittinger Brut Réserve Non Vintage, is made with the classic blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier; but with a much higher percentage of Chardonnay than is usual, and a hallmark of their styles. It is this delicate twist on perceived thinking that enlivens the Taittinger blend, and which underlies their elegance and exceptional standing in the region.
The other Taittinger cuvées all have their own inventive styles. Taittinger Prélude is a Grands Crus Non Vintage Champagne displaying distinctive minerality which reflects the characteristics of the Grands Crus from which it is sourced. Taittinger Vintage is a 50/50 blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and Taittinger Folies de les Marquetterie; a single vineyard Champagne. Taittinger Nocturne with its slightly higher dosage makes it the perfect party Champagne whilst their Prestige Rosé sets the benchmark for NV rosé.
The Taittinger Collection wines are a small production of Vintage Champagnes presented in an exclusive bottle designed by world renowned artists and has become coveted collector's pieces. The crowning cuvées are their Comtes de Champagne wines- both Blanc de blancs and rosé - these are produced in limited quantities and have earned a reputation among connoisseurs as the pinnacle of Champagne excellence.
The full range of Taittinger Champagnes will be available for tasting at the summit at Soho House.

Laurent-Perrier

Established in 1812, Champagne Laurent-Perrier is one of the most distinguished family-owned Champagne Houses. Based in the heart of Champagne, in Tours-sur-Marne, Laurent-Perrier has a pedigree for innovation, handcrafting a diverse and pioneering range of fine champagnes that are produced to traditional, time-honoured methods. The House was acquired by the Nonancourt family in 1939 and for 50 years Bernard de Nonancourt dedicated his life to innovating and perfecting Laurent-Perrier Champagne. Bernard de Nonancourt had prepared his succession for several years, handing over to his daughters Alexandra and Stéphanie who joined the House in 1987 and are now members of the Management Board. Today, the House of Laurent-Perrier is one of the great success stories in Champagne, and is now the fourth largest champagne brand worldwide.
Under Bernard de Nonancourt's leadership, Laurent-Perrier achieved many firsts: in 1959, the House introduced the first multi-vintage prestige cuvée, Grand Siècle by Laurent-Perrier and was also the driver of the evolution of the rosé category, when Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé was first launched in 1968. Then, in 1981 Laurent-Perrier was the first House to reintroduce the concept of brut nature champagne with its Laurent-Perrier Ultra Brut.
In 1998, the quality of Laurent-Perrier's champagnes was officially recognised when HRH The Prince of Wales awarded Laurent-Perrier his Royal Warrant. The Warrant is only awarded to select products who The Prince of Wales sees as reflecting the best in their categories and these companies must also meet a code of good environmental practice. Ten years later, The Prince of Wales re-awarded the Warrant and Laurent-Perrier remains the first and only champagne house to bear his Warrant.
Laurent-Perrier continues to apply an environmental policy in all its activities and takes major steps in managing its business in a sustainable manner and has implemented its environmentally-friendly policies in all fields of its activities. For example, vineyard activity at the Laurent-Perrier House is based on sustainable grape growing, respect for the environment and natural resources, and attaining a balance between biological and human factors; the 150 hectares of vines owned directly by Laurent-Perrier are all kept with environmentally-friendly methods.
