Harpers Wine & Spirit is delighted to announce the launch of the third Champagne Summit - taking place on 28th February 2012 at ETM Group's latest opening - Chiswell Street Dining Rooms. A fresh take on the drinks trade event as we know it, the Harpers Summit format offers an interactive tasting and learning experience for the UK drinks buyer, by way of panel debates, masterclasses, themed tastings, research and Harpers' Champagne Awards 2012.
Contributors confirmed so far include:
- Brendan Stegmann (beverage manager at Kettner's Restaurant & Champagne Bar)
- Essi Avellan MW (editor of FINE Champagne magazine)
- Richard Brierley (head of fine wine at Vanquish Wines)
- Alex Martin - CGA Strategy
- Dee Blackstock MW - Waitrose
- Michelle Cartwright - Searcy's
- Lucy Clements - Sainsbury's
- Richard Bampfield
- Jayne Powell AKA Champagne Jayne
- Liv-ex - fine wine brokers
The 2012 Champagne Summit will be themed around how Champagne can help the trade through the tough times and will include discussion and debate on how and why Champagne offers good value, how can Champagne keep its place in an ever-competitive sparkling market and the importance of preserving the Champagne name.
Delegates at the event will have the opportunity to increase their knowledge of Champagne around these key issues to help increase sales and sale value to the end consumer - to maximise profit from the category.
The Champagne Summit also offers a great environment for networking and the chance to learn more about the category via structured tastings from a select number of brands in a relaxed environment. Open to trade buyers and decision makers the event is free to attend, but places are limited so register early to avoid disappointment.
